Being discontent with your life, is your brain telling you that you have work harder to get where you want to be because the current state of your life is unacceptable. It is not an excuse to piss and moan about how you haven’t been given a fair shake.

it takes 21 days to form a habit

kianiebuen:

So for the next 21 days…

I will be up at 6:30am.

I will run.

I will eat 3 small meals a day and nothing past 7pm.

I will be in my bed by 10pm.

I will not press snooze.

I will read.

I will talk to God.

I will tell myself every morning 10 things that make me special.

I will take those 10 things and wear them proud on my chest not letting anyone bring me down.

I will not allow myself to get angry.

I will be happy.

What will you do?

first day of internship

so today was my first day at a pr firm.

i have mixed feelings about it. i was so sure that pr was a field that i wanted to go down but now im so sure.

at first it was exciting. if i had a penny for every time a famous name was heard in the office i would be rich. okay maybe not rich but enough dough to buy a louis vuitton handbag.

i think the truly important thing I learnt today was that I want my work to mean something, I want it to shape the world for the better.

I don’t want my life effort to go towards making companies richer or promoting the profile of a “celebrity”.

my next post will be about my thoughts on “celebrity”

hit me up with your thoughts

Gaadafi-The End/Le Fin

Colonel Gaddafi’s reign of power in Libya is inching further to an end with rebel advancements in his stronghold and home town of Sirte. This has been a long coming event as the revolution has been in its process since15th February 2011. Currently, the revolution has been occurring for 194 days. This is a much longer time compared to the amount of time it took the Egyptians. Alas, this is not important. What is important is with determination and patience Libyans have been able to set their country free from the crunches of Colonel Gaddafi’s iron fist.

Obviously, the revolution is a positive event in the history of Libya. The outcome of this revolution will allow Libya to have a democracy, improve economic conditions through the (hopeful) reduction of corruption and hopefully allow Libyans the opportunity to carve their own future.

Gaddafi has been using the countries rich resources to benefit himself and his family whilst others have been allowed to remain starving in Libya which leads me onto our next stop.

There must be stronger measures in place to prevent political leaders from siphoning a state’s money into their purse. One particular example which I am disgusted by is that of Jean-Claude Duvalier or “Baby Doc” of Haiti. If you are interested in finding out more about this the wiki page is a click away J

Anyways to conclude; the lesson we can learn from Gaddafi- NEVER GET TOO COMFORTABLE

Nothing new-just my two cents

Give thanks for what you are now, and keep fighting for what you want to be tomorrow.

It’s the million dollar question, what is the one key indicator of management potential and executive talent? It’s a question long debated and discussed but perhaps the answer is as simple as spotting the ‘early bird’. Put another way, who gets into the office first in the morning and is still…
